Who is Klipboard?
Klipboard started as a UK field service and job management product and became something bigger in July 2024, when Kerridge Commercial Systems (KCS) acquired it and rebranded the whole KCS group under the Klipboard name. The product at klipboard.io covers job scheduling and dispatch, quoting, invoicing, a client portal, and offline iOS and Android apps, with QuickBooks and Xero syncs on its mid tier and up.
Its real strength is asset maintenance. QR asset tagging, planned and preventive maintenance schedules, custom form builders, and contract management make it a good fit for compliance-heavy trades like fire safety, HVAC service contracts, water treatment, and facilities work. It holds a 4.6 rating on Capterra across a small review base.
Pricing is per user and contract-based: $28 per user per month on a 24-month term (more on shorter terms), with a 2-user minimum on the entry plan and higher minimums above it. There is no self-serve free trial advertised, you book a demo first. For a maintenance contractor managing hundreds of assets, that model can make sense. For a small residential crew, it is a lot of commitment for software without a phone system or marketing tools.
Who is Autopilot?
Autopilot is an all-in-one CRM built for home service businesses: junk removal, cleaning, landscaping, moving, and the rest of the trades that keep neighborhoods running. Plans start at $49 a month for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and online booking. Crew at $99 adds two-way texting and limited calling. Full Throttle at $149 adds the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools. Plans include 1, 5, or 10 team members respectively.
It was built by a founder who ran his own junk removal company and got tired of paying for three tools that didn't talk to each other. Over 400 businesses run on it today, and it holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store and 4.9 on Google Play.
Autopilot plans start at $49 a month, and the $149 Full Throttle plan includes the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools.
