Stock at each location, with reorder points and recorded value.
  • Shop and vehicle stock
  • Parts used on jobs
  • Shopping lists
Bring low stock and the parts needed for jobs into one shopping list.

Order what you need. Know why.

A low-stock count should tell you what to do next. Set a reorder point and a restock target, then use the shopping list to see the quantities to buy. Vendor grouping keeps the purchasing run organized.

  • Count physical stock and record corrections.
  • Keep a reason for damaged, lost or returned parts.
  • Record bought-for-job costs without taking from stock.
  • Keep internal consumables off customer documents when they are not charged.

From the shop shelf to the job.

Your price book becomes your parts catalog. Choose what to track, set up the places you keep it, and record each movement. The office and the crew can work from the same stock counts.

  1. Add your stock locations

Create a location for the shop and each service vehicle. Assign technicians to the locations they work from.

  2. Receive and move parts

Record deliveries at the shop, then transfer the quantities loaded onto a truck. Each location keeps its own count.

  3. Record what the job used

Mark a job item as taken from stock, bought for the job, or still needed. Stock usage reduces the selected location's quantity.

  4. Restock with a list

Set minimum and maximum quantities by part and location. The shopping list brings low-stock parts and outstanding job needs together.

Load the truck knowing what is on it.

A shop count and a van count answer different questions. Keep both, move parts between them, and give the crew a stock record that follows the work.

Questions about Inventory Management

What to know before you put it to work.

When does a job reduce the stock count?
When the job line is recorded as coming from stock, the selected location's quantity changes. It does not wait for the job to be completed. Changing or removing that stock line reconciles the movement. Estimate lines do not move inventory.
How does Autopilot decide what to reorder?
Set a minimum for each part at each location. When the count is below that minimum, the shopping list suggests enough to reach the maximum, or the minimum if you have not set a maximum.
What if the stock count is wrong?
Enter the physical count or record an adjustment. Autopilot keeps the correction in the stock history. Negative stock can be recorded and is highlighted so the crew can record usage while you resolve the count.
Can I see inventory reports?
Yes. Stock on Hand, Parts Used, Low Stock and Stock Adjustments are available in Reports when inventory is enabled for your company.
