Autopilot vs Jobber

Jobber is polished, proven software for a solo operator who fits inside one user seat. The moment you add a crew, the $29 per extra user adds up, and the phone and AI receptionist are still add-ons. Autopilot plans are $49, $99, and $149 for 1, 5, and 10 team members, with the full phone, AI, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing bundle on Full Throttle.

Who is Jobber?

Jobber is one of the biggest names in home service software, with over 100,000 businesses and 400,000 pros on the platform. It has raised roughly $237 million in venture funding and serves more than 50 industries with quoting, scheduling, invoicing, and payments. It also has the most open developer story of the big three, with a public GraphQL API and an app marketplace that crossed 100 apps.

Pricing starts low but climbs with headcount. The Core plan runs $29 to $49 a month depending on commitment, and it covers exactly one user. Every additional user is $29 a month, texting starts on the $139 Connect plan, and the AI Receptionist is a $29 add-on unless you buy the $499 Plus plan. Jobber Copilot, its built-in AI, is a free advisory assistant that answers questions rather than an agent that answers your phone.

For a one-person operation that mostly quotes and invoices, Jobber is genuinely good and easy to recommend. For a crew of three or four that lives on the phone, the per-user math and the add-on stack change the picture.

Who is Autopilot?

Autopilot is an all-in-one CRM built for home service businesses: junk removal, cleaning, landscaping, moving, and the rest of the trades that keep neighborhoods running. Plans start at $49 a month for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and online booking. Crew at $99 adds two-way texting and limited calling. Full Throttle at $149 adds the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools. Plans include 1, 5, or 10 team members respectively.

It was built by a founder who ran his own junk removal company and got tired of paying for three tools that didn't talk to each other. Over 400 businesses run on it today, and it holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store and 4.9 on Google Play.

Autopilot plans are $49, $99, and $149 for 1, 5, and 10 team members, with the full phone, AI, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing bundle on Full Throttle.

The bottom line

Two different tools for two different businesses. Here is the honest split.

Choose Jobber if…

  • You work solo and fit inside one user seat, where Jobber's Core plan is genuinely cheap
  • You want an open API and a big app marketplace to wire in other tools
  • You want a free website builder and consumer financing bundled with your FSM
  • You value the most mature, widely reviewed product in the small business segment

Choose Autopilot if…

  • You have a crew, and per-user fees of $29 a head feel like a tax on growing
  • You want a real business phone with recording, transcripts, and AI call summaries built in
  • You want the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing on the published $149 Full Throttle plan
  • You want texting and marketing on the entry plan instead of gated behind higher tiers

Switching from Jobber takes an afternoon

Four steps, and our team does the heavy one for you.

  1. 1

    Export your customers

Pull your client list out of Jobber as a CSV. Every FSM platform supports this, and it takes about five minutes.

  2. 2

    We import everything for you

Send us the file and our team loads your customers, jobs, and price book into Autopilot as part of free onboarding. No spreadsheet wrestling on your end.

  3. 3

Point your phone number at Autopilot

On Full Throttle, keep your existing business number. We port it or forward it, so calls start landing in Autopilot with recording, transcripts, and the AI receptionist behind them.

  4. 4

Run both for a week, then cut over

Your Jobber account keeps working during your free trial. Most crews book their first Autopilot job on day one and cancel the old subscription within the month.

Jobber exports clients, jobs, quotes, and invoices as CSVs from its reports section, so migrating is straightforward.
