Autopilot vs Pool Service Software
Pool Service Software is a genuinely cheap way to run a small pool route, with a free tier for your first 10 properties and real water chemistry tools. Autopilot is the better fit when you want pricing that never meters your customer count and a system that answers your phone and markets your business.

Who is Pool Service Software?
Pool Service Software, usually shortened to PSS, is a small private company selling budget pool route software. It covers the essentials well: drag-and-drop scheduling, route optimization, quotes and job tracking, invoicing with online payments and AutoPay, QuickBooks Online sync, and GPS check-ins. Its water chemistry side is a real strength for the price, with an automatic LSI balancing calculator, Bluetooth integration with LaMotte SpinTouch and ColorQ meters, and Orenda chemistry guidance.
Pricing is metered by properties serviced. A free plan covers up to 10 properties with all features, Dive In is $49.99 a month for 11 to 50 properties, Ripple Effect is $99 a month for 51 to 100, and Wave Maker runs 95 cents per property per month above that. There are no contracts, annual billing takes 15 percent off, and payment processing runs through Stripe at standard rates.
What PSS does not do is the front of the business. There is no built-in phone, no AI receptionist, no marketing campaigns or review tools advertised, and no API. Client communication is announcements, visit reports, and SMS or email notifications. It keeps a route running cheaply; growing the route is left to you.
Who is Autopilot?
Autopilot is an all-in-one CRM built for home service businesses: junk removal, cleaning, landscaping, moving, and the rest of the trades that keep neighborhoods running. Plans start at $49 a month for scheduling, estimates, invoicing, payments, and online booking. Crew at $99 adds two-way texting and limited calling. Full Throttle at $149 adds the full phone system, AI receptionist, QuickBooks, GPS, and marketing tools. Plans include 1, 5, or 10 team members respectively.
It was built by a founder who ran his own junk removal company and got tired of paying for three tools that didn't talk to each other. Over 400 businesses run on it today, and it holds a 4.8 rating on the App Store and 4.9 on Google Play.
Against Pool Service Software, the pitch is flat pricing that never climbs with your route, plus the phone, AI receptionist, and marketing engine PSS leaves out.
